An Important Difference between ARC and other Translation services :

At ARC we are aware that two translators may be translating from the same source text (say English) and even into the same receptor language (say Arabic) and yet the results may be very different.

Thus, there is not one “correct” translation of a given text and in particular as one word in English can be very specific and clear, yet it can be translated within a sentence using up to 100 words with different meanings in the Arabic language, thus our experienced team of translators are always on the look out to endure that the correct meaning is achieved.

Obviously, the reasons for this variation include:

  1. the receptor language audience for whom the translation is intended,
  2. the purpose of the translation
  3. the translation team itself.

At ARC our team of translators composed of multi cultural professionals are able to avoid any confusion in translation because it is well known to themand accepted that Literal translations follow very closely the grammatical and lexical forms of the source text language, whereas idiomatic translations are concerned with communicating the meaning of the source text using the natural grammatical and lexical items of the receptor language.

At ARC  the ideal translation is when it is accurate as to meaning and receptor language forms used.  So anyone will readily understand it because it is accurate and communicative in reproducing as exactly as possible the meaning of the source text in a way that is readily understandable to the intended audience, It is natural by using forms  in a way that is appropriate to the kind of text being translated.

Therefore, translation, is based on the following elements studying the lexicon, communication situation , grammatical structure,  and cultural context of the source language text, analyzing it to determine its meaning, and then reconstructing the same meaning in the receptor language using the same elements.
